Stay At Home Jobs

Whether your a mom wanting to stay home all day with the kids or a single parent, legitimate stay at home jobs are available that will allow you this freedom. They do exist. And in this article I want to discuss a few places you can start your search for one.

Stay at home jobs are in great demand therefore you will need to stretch your search further to gain an advantage over everyone who is also searching for one. All the while keeping your eye out for the inevitable scams you’ll encounter along the way.

One of the best places to land a stay at home job is at your current place of employment of all places. If your job is suited to working from home this could be a viable option. It’s how I got my first start with telecommuting. Your current employer already knows your work ethic. Hopefully, it’s good! And if you perform a job that can easily be done from home, you just might be able to convince your boss to let you perform it from there. The Telecommuting Proposal by Pat Katepoo is an excellent resource on how to convince your company that it’s wise for them to let you work from home.

If your current position doesn’t fall into the category of stay at home jobs, then you may have to look elsewhere. One of the first places I would look would be CraigsList.org. They have a convenient search engine that lets you filter out all jobs that allow telecommuting. If you haven’t used it before, you’ll want to go visit that site and have a look.

Just click on a city that interests you and then click on the header in the middle of the page that says “Jobs”. You’ll be taken to a scams disclaimer page, read it and click through to the listings. At the top of the page you’ll be able to search for stay at home jobs based on a keyword. Be sure to check the “telecommute” option before searching and you’ll be presented with all the stay at home jobs being offered in your city and beyond.

The final place I recommend you take a look is one of the many paid for stay at home jobs database sites. I know it stinks when you have to pay money to access these sites. But you’re actually paying for the convenience of not have to weed through all the garbage out there. They’ve already filtered it out for you. Most of these job databases contain only real telecommuting positions, which is an added bonus.

Plus there aren’t hundreds of thousands of eyeballs seeing these particular stay at home jobs either. Which reduces your competition for landing a position. And these type of job sites, the good ones at least, often receive job postings that are exclusive to their service. Not like all the other free services out there that just put together feeds of all the other free job listings out there. Which means you’ll have less competition when it comes to landing one of these exclusive positions. It’s definitely worth the small price you have pay to get access.

One of the cheapest and most reliable sites is HomeJobStop.com. They’ve been around for a long time and I’ve been a member for going on 9 years now. Top notch job offerings in there for sure. Just read their testimonials to see how effective they are at their service.

Use these three techniques to locate stay at home jobs available on the market. If you do, I’m confident you’ll find a job that meets your particular skill set and you’ll be working your dream job in know time.
